I thought the purpose of education was to learn to think for yourself

"I stand upon my desk to remind yourself that we must constantly look at things in a different way." - Dead Poets Society

I love to teach! It is my passion to open the world to others. I have always loved art and science. It is my goal to merge both into something beautiful and hopeful. I encouraged my students to change their perspective, even for a moment. For that will give them insight to how others see and strengthen purpose. And, that vision changes worlds.

Don't dream it, be it! Rocky Horror Picture Show at NPC Plush

As part of the Nonprofit Commons Halloween Party, we had three movies at Plush to watch. Buffy and I were keen to watch Rocky Horror so that we could sing along while swinging on my swing. After getting a little seasick, I passed out the Dr. Frank N. Furter pearls and had a seat as others joined the chorus. Buffy was wearing the custom skin I made for her.

Rocky Horror is such a classic and I used to watch it at The Clinton starting in 1984. The Clinton Street Theater has been showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show every Saturday night since April 1978. (It is the longest running RHPS in the world!)

I always found the message of Rocky Horror clear even if it was covered in fishnet stockings. "Don't Dream It, Be It!"

Halloween Party at Nonprofit Commons

Happy Halloween! We had party on both Nonprofit Common sims, Aloft and Plush, with trick and treating, a dance with DJ Ricken Flow, and three movies after the dance. Everyone dressed up in costume and we had a blast meeting and greeting new folks the the NPC. Terra and I did our door by door trick'n'treating as we enjoyed awesome decorations by Mel. Merc and Anika did a great job with the party, as well as, all of their support crew! We got lots of treats by the way!
Lore made a great video of the dance, check it out at http://www.vimeo.com/2067440

Polka

Kasper visited me at the Common Ground Party Plaza to check out my finished "Disco Inferno" Halloween costume. We decided to take it for a whirl trying out the ever popular Polka dance ball. Check out Kasper's shoes! They so hip it hurts!

Kittie and Cake

My very talented friend Kittie invited me to her studio to check out a custom wedding cake she had finished. It is amazing! I even had a piece of it, delish! While checking out her handywork, I showed her my "Disco Inferno" Halloween costume that I created. I expressed that I couldn't figure out the script to make my mirror ball top spin. She was kind enough to create the script for me on the spot and boom - I was spinning! Thank you so much Kittie! Terra's Teal and Merlot

Hanging with Terra at her beach house. She is wearing the custom skin I made her to go with her teal outfits. Now, I better make one in merlot too. I used the Eloh Eliot skin files as a base, they are awesome!

Magenta

Lovely in Magenta! This one pixelated image of me with Ozma and Ethelred in the background got to me. They have been such a supportive team with Common Ground! Thanks guys! And, our DJ, Ricken, just makes each night so special and extra fun! I look forward to his set every week! Thanks Ricken!

Hanging with my Peeps

This is the shirt I made as a treat for the Nonprofit Commons Halloween Party. Did you get yours?

The Rings

"The RIngs" is a Second Life performance piece that encourages people to take action over the troubling things they see in the world. It is filled with song, dance, and dialog with visual elements that over take the senses and inspire the soul.
The Rings regular performances on Fridays and Sundays at 2pm SLT at http://slurl.com/secondlife/NMC%20Labs/145/111/664

Blue and Violet

Common Ground has become a wonderful place to show support of nonprofits and we have tons of brainstorming sessions while dancing away. We had to see how many AVs we could sit on our spinning light. Five! That's right! Five!

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

Just having some "Sixteen Candles" fun!
